Architecture is currently included in one of the strategies in visual arts. It appears that the art of architecture is related to spatiality and some architects also see space as the principle of their art. On the other hand, an aesthetic experience of space struggles with difficulty because space is intangible and invisible. The Journal of Aesthetics and Art Criticism mentioned that spatial compositions are “abstract” because, in order to appreciate them, one needs to shift his or her attention to empty volumes such as void and inner space that people inhabit.

It is possible that architectural photography helps people to appreciate the space. Because an architecture is able to be captured by many particular points of views, the photographers who understand the building are able to present it in many ways. In favour of a free development of each individual buildings, different buildings are might presented in different ways and points of view. In addition, the building that exterior is determined by its interior spaces and functions like vernacular architecture more becomes interesting angles and specific perspectives for photographers.

In this website, photos containing many stories behind have been displayed and they are presented in a narrative way of both architectural language and photographical language.

This digital space is established for sharing and collecting the vernacular architecture photos, mainly in Thailand, wished to be a source of inspiration for design works. It is also trying to create an impact on people perspective toward sustainable and local design like vernacular architecture.
